Today is my loves birthday.. Not sure if I should share his real age or not but he's still a young buck lol!
I spent today baking his double chocolate cake with a blackberry filling. And for the first time in I don't know how long the cake I made this morning stuck in the pan and I'm on cake number two. I did do my first cake without using Cake Release which is something I always use without fail to make sure I don't have this problem. I'm my defense I couldn't find it. Needless to say I found it for cake number 2 which is almost done as we speak.
Ill be sure to post a pic of the cake when I'm all done!
Happy birthday babe! I Love You to pieces!!!

Halloween Monsters
Anyone who knows me knows that I am always looking for an excuse to bake something fun. I mean yes its easy to just get your bowl, measuring cups, flour, sugar etc out and start whipping something up. BUT my problem is what do I do with it when I'm done? I cannot just have it sitting in my house becuase then I gaurantee that I would be as big as my house. Plus I think its alot more fun for me to be able to bake it then see the smiles on people faces, watch them be amazed at the work I had done. Its a big part of this that makes it all fun to me.
Girl and Boy Monster Cupcakes
I did a mix of chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, and then decorated my monsters! You can only imagine how much everyone loved them and I was happy with the final product. Now with Halloween upon us again, Im back to my drawing board trying to figure out what I will be planning this year. Did I mention that now all 3 kids are in elementry school! So Ill definatly have to preplan, and bake ahead of decorating, or I might become a monster myself.
If you have any ideas of things you would like to see please feel free to let me know, or if your interested in some gooley, spooky, fun treats for your halloween bash you can contact me to discuss your order!
Remember Halloween isnt just for kids to go Trick or Treating.. We deserve something yummy too!

Strawberries of my past...
So, finally after many promises its time for me to start posting pictures of work that I have done. These pictures are about a year old, but I still love them and the idea for them was great. My son Colin absolutly loves strawberries, more than anything! For the first party of the year last year his class was having a 'T' party.. We had to come up with something that started with a 'T', and what did he want to bring??? Of course, strawberries. Yet, that didnt start with a 'T'. So, after thinking about it I figured it out! Tuxedo strawberries! He was thrilled and honestly I was thrilled too!
They are always so fun to make, even though I will admitt I REALLY wish I had a double boiler! I use chocolate so much that having one would come in handy, but a bowl over a boiling pot of water seems to work just fine... for now.
I delivered these to the school, all the office ladies were drooling. And highly disappointed when I told them they were for my sons 2nd grade class. Lucky little kids! After school all I heard about was how big a hit they were and how much everyone loved them. I loved seeing the smiles, even loved being stopped walking out of the school by mothers, I didnt know, who just wanted to know how I made them. I was kind of shocked that some people really didnt know how to make tuxedo strawberries.
This is what I came up with:
Strawberry cupcakes. Not only did they look like strawberries, but they tasted like strawberries too. Every part of these pretty little things had strawberry all over it. Except the stem and leaves, which were minty gummy goodness. Again another hit with not only my extatic son but the kids, teachers, and mothers.
Now a year later Im looking back at some of the stuff I have done and realize how much others liked it. Puts a smile on my and helps me realize that maybe just maybe Chamber Cakes will be the success I dream it to be. I love what I do and only hope that everyone else will too.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my strawberry treats....
until next time...

First of Many.. I hope...
Today I confirmed my first order. I will be making sweet Ella's first birthday cake! I was so excited to confirm this order and even more excited to have a plan, design, and new flavors to play with. If thats not exciting enough for you then more good news is that I also recieved my business cards today, only a week early! They are absolutly adorable, all the girls in my office love them. I hope that they will help bring new clients in. So all in all todays been a good day!
I have great feelings about this adventure and with the help of my amazing family and friends I think this might be the sweestest start to an incredible future. I do promise to start uploading some pictures of the work I have done. Mind you that none of it has been for any clients, all simply for fun or for the kids school. So now that I'm thinking about it, it is kind of special that Miss Ella's 1st birthday cake will be my first offical cake. A HUGE milestone for both of us!
Until next time...
Oh and do me a favor and NEVER skip dessert! Remember its the little things in life that make life worth living.

Things are getting Sweeter
Today I ordered my business cards, and for me this was HUGE! I am so excited. Its like that feeling you get when you know your dreams are so close and actually attainable. Within minutes of sharing the fact that I placed my order, I was overwhelmed with the responce I recieved from my friends and family. Watching your dreams become a reality is so surreal to me. I can only tell you how extatic I am to have this opportunity.
So when you go to plan your next party, get together, birthday, or just to treat yourself think of Chamber Cakes and Creations.

The Beginning of something Sweet
Welcome to Chamber Cakes and Creations. What I hope will turn into something that takes over and changes the traditional idea of what a cake or cupcake is. For now its all word of mouth and trying to get my name out there. One day maybe sooner than later I'll have the opportunity to turn my dreams into reality and open a store front and welcome in every Sweet Tooth with a smile.
A little about me, Im 23 years old and a step mother of three. Two boys who are 10 and 8, and our little girl who is 5. Between the school year just starting and working full time, plus you cannot forget about the busy home life; Ive decided that its time to do something for me. Even with my nonstop life I plan on adding my own buisness in the mix. This was a really hard choice for me since as it is I feel like we have no time to be adding to our schedules. Yet, thankfully I have a very supportive man who thinks that this would be good for me. He understand how much I enjoy baking and of course he loves being my guinnea pig too. In reality baking has been a passion of mine since I was young. Growing up watching my father bake, primarily during the holiday season. Ill always remember the smell of my dad's cheesecake, and Grandma's magic bars. I think its important for a child to grow up with homemade treats in the house and to have memories of getting to lick the bowl when Mom, or Dad in my case, is done. This is something I want my children to remember (my daughter loves to crack the eggs for me).
So as time goes on I hope this blog can show people who I am personally and professionally. I love what I do, with high hopes that everyone else will too. I am self taught with almost everything I make, with very few recipes on my shelf. I love to experiement with flavors and new ingredients. Every batch, cookie, cake, cupcake and truffle are just a little different and have something special to offer your tastebuds.
I am excited to see where this can take me. I also hope that I will be able to start recieving orders, and make the most of this opportunity. I thank you for taking the time to be interesed in my endevores and I hope to bake something for your next event.
